When I wrote the post on jadite, I noticed this kitchen’s gorgeous oven range.  Delish!

Have you noticed folks are starting to get more colorful in the kitchen again?  Don’t get me wrong, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances is beautiful and streamlined, but a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a pop of color in the refrigerator or range is WOW!  Yes?

Of course, it can go too far.  I’m thinking one brightly colored appliance will be enough for the wow factor.  After that, you may need to squint every time you enter the kitchen!  See below.  A little much, do you agree?

Pretty, but still a little over the top for me.

This range is vintage and has been restored.  Isn’t it awesome?!  I’ve always wondered what it is like to cook on one of those.

If you are interested in finding one of these beauties, you need to prepare yourself for the price tag.  They are up there!  But if you have the budget, why not splurge on something gorgeous and cut back somewhere else?  Viking has some beautiful colors for their oven ranges, and even better, they are made in the USA!  Lacanche makes some of the most incredible appliances in the world.  They are renowned for their customer service and cooking perfection.  Better yet, they have several hues to choose from.  What I love about them is they are made and hand-assembled in France, and shipped to the States on a boat.  So neat, huh?  I will take the Delfft Blue in Brass, thank you very much!  If you want the Big Mama of all colored oven ranges, check out the La Cornue.  The epitome of luxury when it comes to the kitchen, these beauties start at five figures, and the first number is not a 1.  The company was started in Paris in 1908, and is still the gold standard today.

For something more attainable, have you seen that West Elm carries the Smeg refrigerators?  They come in a myriad of colors – I love the jadite green and the navy blue! – check them out here.

What do you think of colored appliances in the kitchen?  Do you love it, do you think you would tire of one color?  I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

P.S.  Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments and emails regarding my surgery.  The surgery went well, and was more extensive than originally planned, but I came through it happily, and am now resting at home.  I have been a bit slower to get up than expected, but I’m feeling like today will be a good day, and I will be up and around more.  I so appreciate the support!  xoxo
