It’s the Little Things: Kleenex Can Be Fun

It’s the Little Things: Kleenex Can Be Fun

Yes, I’m serious.

A few days ago, I was standing in line at Target hoping to make it quickly through checkout after a particularly hectic trip trying to keep four kids four and under occupied and happy.  Of course, the lady in front of me whips out a checkbook.  Argh.  I mean, really?!  I always seem to get stuck behind checkbook people.  The kind that lost their drivers license last week so they can’t show it to the cashier.  Which in turn means a manager approval. Which takes more time.  And almost always, I have gotten behind this person because they have one item to purchase.

Nevertheless, I had a few minutes to look at what was displayed on the hooks in the checkout area.  In between telling my sweet ones “no” to multiple flavors and varieties of candy, I caught a glimpse of these babies.

Greek key on Kleenex?!!  And the colors?  Yum!

Quickly, I grabbed two packages.  I love little things like this that are simple but just make you smile.  It got me thinking, these are so darling, maybe they could make someone else smile, too!  Perhaps a “I’m thinking of you” gift for a friend that has the sniffles?  Some spare trim, and a cute handwritten note is all you need to lift someone’s spirits.

Or a petite hostess gift?  A “just because”?

This took me all of two minutes to do: grosgrain ribbon, a scrap of felt, and a punch out letter “K”.

Little note about the Kleenex:  I thought all of the individual tissues would be the fun patterns, but it’s only the plastic envelope that holds them.  That’s okay though, I still love the designs, and they will look cute in your bag!

Come back tomorrow for the DIY I am super excited about!  I think you will love it!
