When I left to go to Utah, our addition looked like this.

And when I got back, it looked like this.

It gets even better!  A few days after that, it looked like this!

You can see in some of the photos above that our original plan was to have a pop-up on top.  I was not here when the room was framed, so it ended up being built a little over a foot higher than originally planned, so that means the popout is a little over a foot higher.  It was just looking too high to us, so we are working on another option which will probably be even better.  Of course, that more than likely means more $$$.

However, it is turning out beautiful, and I am excited about it.  All of the stress and worry that goes along with building anything melts away a little when I see where my french door will be.

And the architectural beauty it will add to our home even from afar.  (okay okay, it’s hard to imagine, especially with all of the toys in the yard, but work with me here)

When I stand inside of it, I get really excited.  I think this room will see a ton of family time.

We still have a ways to go, but the light at the end of the tunnel is blinking at me.

How do you get through big home projects?  Any advice?
