To Rub’N’Buff Or Not To Rub’N’Buff

To Rub’N’Buff Or Not To Rub’N’Buff

AStoriedStyle.com

I’m working on a little project at my house and doing a mini revamp of my dining room.  After buying a pair of these large frames (for $32 each, woowoo!) this weekend, I am debating on whether to leave them the creamy white color or go to town with some rub’n’buff on the thin frame.

I tested a little on the back to see what it would look like, and this photo gives you a feel for it.

I’m still debating…I’m actually going to hang these today and then see what I think.  Do you have an opinion?  They will be against the creamy white wainscoting you see in the above pictures.  More to come on this project soon…

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I am sure whatever you do with them will be fab. But what is inside them is GORGEOUS!

Hi Julie, it is actually handmade marbled paper from Paper Mojo – I will have all of the juicy details on the blog soon! 🙂

I kinda like the idea of both! You could tape off the corners, and just rub & buff the corner edges.
    Good luck! 🙂

Lisa, interesting idea! I hadn’t thought of how to do both yet! G

For a touch of gold/brass you could use gold square brackets ala Kristin from the Hunted Interior or just Rub n Buff inside part of the frame.

Shelley, I did think of using brackets, and I pondered just doing the inside of the frame, but I wonder if that would be too much work? I hung the frames tonight, so I’m going to see what I think in a day or two. Great ideas, thank you!!! 🙂
