Black & White Friday + Easy Gifts for Kids & Adults

Black & White Friday + Easy Gifts for Kids & Adults

elle decor

How was your Thanksgiving?  Ours was very low key, and it was rather awesome.  It has been raining and raining here, so it was nice to just be home, play games, and enjoy good food.  Normally, I will go to a couple of my favorite stores on Black Friday, but I found myself just wanting to stay home this morning and relax!  Pie for breakfast, a couple cups of coffee, and some online perusing.  (which I don’t get to do too often!)  I am also finding that I can get just as good of a deal online on Black Friday these days, and I don’t even have to get out of my pajamas.  😉  Do you agree?  Normally, I would head to Anthro or JCrew just for fun, but from what I can tell, online and in stores, there is the same discount.  (Anthropologie has a 25% off everything sale happening, and JCrew is 30-40% off FYI.)

Of course, with Christmas being four weeks away, I have gift giving on my mind.  When it comes to presents, you really can’t go wrong with a classic black and white scheme.  With that in mind, I put together some can’t-go-wrong-won’t-go-wrong gift ideas UNDER $50 (!!!) for you.  I especially love that top with the bows in the back (who doesn’t love a simple tee with an unexpected embellishment), but my favorite item on this whole board is that gorgeous buffalo check picnic blanket!  You can get it with any monogram, and I really like how it has the wipeable surface on one side plus it folds up!  (I usually have some sort of blanket like this in the back of my car, so handy!)  And if I had a dog, it would probably have a raincoat for no other reason except it is adorable.  : )

Tee with Bows  /  Picnic Blanket w/ Monogram  /  Dot Flatware  /  Heart Hot & Cold Thermos  /  “Better Together” Sugar & Creamer  /  Doggie Raincoat  /  Plate Set  /  Marble Striped Serveware  /  Buffalo Check Socks  /  Coffee Mug  /  Striped Ornament

Add those buffalo check socks to my stocking stuffer list too.

This next set of ideas has items that are more than $50, although some are not much more than that.  I will tell you I bought a pair of white speakers for my husband last year, and they have been such a happy “meet in the middle” purchase for us.  They sound great for him, and they are pretty for me.  I also think that dress would be perfect for holiday parties so you can eat all of the yumminess and not worry about tummy pooch ; ), and a toaster is perfectly fine as a gift as long as it is as pretty as that black Smeg.  (we have the ivory one, and it is GREAT)  And that art is just…so special.

Pretty Headphones  /  Bee Watch  / Feather Flats  /  Flutter Sleeve Shift Dress  /  White Speakers  /  B&W Necklace  /  Smeg Toaster  /  Pom-Pom Scarf  /  Buffalo Check Hat  /  Vintage Illustration Art  /  Perfume  /  Sparkle Necklace

Finding pretty and fun kids toys is really enjoyable for me, and it was nice to sit down and see what was new for this year.  These ideas are all under $50 (most are around $20!).  I think the most interesting find would be the dollhouse version of the ever popular “Woods” Wallpaper.  I cannot even believe you can get stuff like that for your dollhouse!  So cool.  My boys will LOVE those ninja blocks to add to their wooden block collection, and the sleeping bag for your doll is pretty cute, too.  (they have a child sized one so you can get a matching set – see the next board!)

1.  Doll Sleeping Bag  /  2.  Star Wars Figurine Pack  /  3.  Basketball Hoop  /  4.  Dollhouse “Woods” Wallpaper  /  5.  Zebra Pull Toy  /  6.  B&W Nesting Toy  /  7.  Sheep Lacing Set  /  8.  Polka Dot Tea Set  /  9.  Wooden Ninja Blocks  /  10.  Star Wand

I like this next grouping of kids toys because they are all things I would not mind seeing out.  I really like that black workbench (the prettiest one I’ve seen, great price, too!), and that balance bike (seriously the best purchase when your little one is getting closer to two wheels) is great because it doesn’t look too babyish.  I kind of want the acrylic guitar for myself, and also that karaoke machine WITH DISCO LIGHTS!!!

Hope you have an easy breezy Black & White Friday.  Here’s to checking a few people off of your list!
