Pinterest Taught Me How To – Volume VI

Pinterest Taught Me How To – Volume VI

pinteresttaughtmeto

Happy Friday, Everyone!  I’m back today with another edition of “Pinterest Taught Me How To”.  A few of these are just picture tutorials that do not have a link, but I would definitely pin them for reference.  These are great for all of you visual learners out there!  I don’t have any natural beauty or home tips this week, but those homemade extracts are so darling (and natural, yes?), and I think that will be my go-to teacher gift for Christmas this year!

Let’s get started…

1.  How To Tie Your Shoelaces In All Kinds Of Fun Ways – Are your kids going back to school soon?  Impress them with your shoelacing design skills!  Impress your co-workers with your own lacing style, or re-lace your husband’s/significant other’s tennis shoes, and see if he even notices.  Ha!  I think we should take a poll.  Okay, he might notice that one with the bow on the side.

2.  How To Tie A Scarf – Am I the only one that has trouble getting a scarf to cooperate with me?  Somehow mine never looks like the JCrew ad I’m staring at.  But now I have this picture tutorial, and you do, too.  I will definitely be going back to this, especially now that Fall is coming.

3.  How To Do A Bow Bun – Yes, Gaga started the craze, but this can look really cute, I think.  Plus it is WAY easier to do than I thought.  I definitely prefer the more messy look versus the last picture in the article.  Actually, please click over and look at it and laugh, especially if you attended your high school prom in the 90’s – should bring back lots of memories of bad prom hair.

4.  How To Make Homemade Extracts – I adore homemade gifts that are practical and useful for the receiver.  And how perfect would these be to give out at holiday time?  They look pretty easy to do, and she even included free printable labels!  You could definitely have some fun here with packaging, too.  Fun bottles, etc.  Thanks Spoon Fork Bacon!

5.  How To Do An Eldredge Tie Knot – This is another picture tutorial, but it made me smile to think of men showing their flair by tying their ties in unique ways.  I see my husband in a suit once or twice a year, but I’m not sure he would rock a unique tie knot.  We’ve come a long way, but this is the man who still had a couple pairs of tapered jeans when we got married.  For reference, we married in 2005.  Hey, cute covers a lot of fashion wrongs!  Would your husband let you tie a knot like this in his tie?

See you back here Monday!
