Well, it’s Monday and my sweet wife cannot be with you today – I’ve tied her to the couch and taken her laptop. She’s hard to keep down, believe me, even after surgery, and after the surgeon and several nurses have warned her over and over to take it slow, to take it easy. I’ve caught her doing all sorts of things: walking around the yard (albeit hunched over), folding clothes, digging through some toys I’d decided to “sequester.” So after escorting her back to the couch for the tenth time, I’ve decided just to strap her down. Sorry. I need her healthy. The clothes are piling high outside the washing machine and some things that were white are now pink – I tried. Toys have somehow multiplied and spread to the foot of our bed. And the kids are wondering if we have anything to eat besides peanut-butter and jelly (minus a couple of great dinners they gobbled from friends and family). Heal woman! For the love of your family, heal! So no blogging, just rest (if someone can be forced to rest) and recuperation. Maybe Tuesday. We’ll see. Think of the children.
