There is no doubt about it, the honeycomb is going to be the new geometric trend in the design world.  Are you mourning the chevron?  Here’s the thing…geometric shapes are always going to be in style.  Keep it simple, keep it classic in color, and your geometric shape of choice will stand the test of time.

You will notice the term “honeycomb” will refer to five-sided shapes and six-sided shapes.  It seems the hexagon has a bit more modern flair than the pentagon, but you will observe “honeycomb” utilized for both shapes interchangeably.  See below for simple ways to add this shape to your home.

I have stared at World Market’s Honeycomb Chandelier for months, and every time I see it, I think it is a big bang for your buck.  It’s only $169.99, and World Market usually has a coupon going.

Robert Allen’s cut velvet fabric, Geo, has been around for awhile, but it is a classic pattern, and comes in tons of beautiful colors.  For a cut velvet, it is also reasonably priced – you can usually find it for $20-30 a yard.

You know I love me some greenery!  Beautiful plant enclosures make me really happy, and there are so many well-designed terrariums on the market right now!  This one from Terrain is one of my new favorites.

I am seriously intrigued by this rug!  I love that the pattern is broken up, and it has such a sophisticated feel.  Not to mention the price is great, too.  It is 100% wool, and an 8×10 is only $445!

This honeycomb wall clock is my wild card, but it would be really interesting on a blank white, black, or charcoal gray wall as a focal point.

Elongating the honeycomb pattern creates a unique look on these pillows from West Elm.  I do love all things crewel, too.
